The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is considering financing of two more projects in Uzbekistan. Imkon Plus, an ice cream maker in Uzbekistan, plans to attract US$10 million loan from the EBRD.
The funds will be used to expand distribution network, as well as refrigeration and processing facilities for frozen fruits and vegetables. Total cost of the project is US$13.5 million. It is expected that the EBRD will provide a loan in two tranches. The EBRD considers a providing loan to Hamkorbank for US$20 million to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as trade finance.
