BP on behalf of its project partners in Azerbaijan and the Agency for Development of Small & Medium-Sized Enterprises of Azerbaijan (KOBIA) signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
The Memo implies joint study of cooperation opportunities for support of local business, assessment of potential areas of cooperation for support of the development of local business.
“BP Azerbaijan and its partners have been implementing a large-scale social investment program to support the development of local entrepreneurship called “Entrepreneurship Development Program” since 2007, which is estimated in millions of dollars. To date, within this program, $6.5 million has been allocated to support about 2,000 small and medium-sized entrepreneurs,” BP Azerbaijan Vice President for Relations, Foreign Affairs & Strategy Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli said.
In his turn, KOBIA Chairman of the Board Orhan Mammadov said that the today-signed Memo will strengthen the platform for the promotion of small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan.
