Belarus, Finland set to expand cooperation in construction industry

Belarus and Finland have discussed ways to boost cooperation in the field of construction, the National Center for Marketing and Price Study of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

A delegation of construction firms from Finland visited the National Center for Marketing and Price Study to hold talks and establish contacts with representatives of Belarusian ministries and government agencies in charge of construction and development, as well as with local developers and suppliers of building materials.

The Finnish delegation included representatives of 21 companies from the developers’ association of the town of Lahti. The Belarusian side was represented by Minskstroy, Institute Belgosproekt, Minskoblselstroy, Minskdrev, Belstroytsentr, Institute for Regional and Urban Planning, and REVERA law firm.

The agenda of the meeting featured Belarus-Finland cooperation in construction and production of building materials, as well as legal aspects of implementing construction projects in Belarus by foreign companies.

The visit was arranged with the assistance of the Finland-Belarus Trade Association.
