Austria is interested in participating in the implementation of infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan, Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology Andreas Reichhardt said during a meeting with Head of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Javid Gurbanov in Baku, the company said in a message.
Gurbanov informed the Austrian side about the reforms being carried out in the railway sector of Azerbaijan, the projects of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, the North-South and South-West corridors, as well as the launch of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway.
Reichhardt, in turn, noted that in recent years, the relations between Azerbaijan and Austria have been expanding in all directions, including in the economy sphere.
At the end of the meeting, a decision was made to further expand bilateral cooperation.
