Last week the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Austria Bakyt Dzhusupov visited the Austrian company Andritz Hydro, which is one of the largest business organizations in the world for the production of hydraulic structures and technologies for electricity generation. Within the framework of the visit there was held a presentation of the company about its current activities in Central and Eastern Europe and CIS countries, press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyzstan reported.
During the conversation of Dzhusupov with the company vice-president Alexander Schwab he touched upon the construction of large as well as medium-sized hydroelectric power stations in Kyrgyzstan. In addition, the issues of the company’s ability to modernize the existing hydroelectric power stations in Kyrgyzstan and increase the capacity of generated electricity, as well as the company’s experience in the use of water reservoirs for power generation were touched upon.
The sides noted the results of the visit of the Austrian company to Kyrgyzstan organized in April of this year, and also discussed the current projects of the company in Kyrgyzstan. The management of Andirtz Hydro also expressed its intention to take part in a special event in Bishkek, organized by the Austrian company ILF Consulting Engineers Austria GmgH, in Bishkek for the construction of small and medium-sized hydraulic structures.
