On October 11, Anatoly Motkin delivered a speech at COMEX Bahrain, addressing the promising prospects of the IT sector in Central Asia and advocating for collaborative efforts to establish a digital bridge connecting the Gulf to Central Asia.
Mr. Motkin, StrategEast President, shared his insights and vision for the future of Bahrain’s IT industry, aligning with the Economic Vision 2030.
In his address, he outlined a two-component approach to transform Bahrain’s IT landscape into a regional powerhouse.
First, attracting global engineering companies – within the next five years, StrategEast envisions the soft-landing of advanced and successful international engineering companies with a strong presence in Eurasia. This strategic move aims to facilitate the extensive development of local talent and the transfer of high-level global technological expertise. By fostering collaboration with these industry leaders, Bahrain can rapidly enhance its technological capabilities.
Another pivotal aspect of StrategEast’s vision is the establishment of synergy between Bahrain’s startup ecosystems and those in Central Asia and the Caucasus. This collaboration is designed to leverage the strengths and innovative potential of both regions, creating a fertile ground for entrepreneurial growth and digital transformation.
Combining these two components within a systematic framework, StrategEast aims to consolidate three regions – the Gulf, Central Asia, and the Caucasus – into a unified digital market. The vision is to position this emerging hub as a global competitor to the technologically advanced regions currently dominating the global tech landscape.
COMEX is Bahrain’s official technology show. Under the support of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, the event is held from 09 to 11 October 2023 at Exhibition World Bahrain.
