Anatoly Motkin advocates for Ukraine’s cooperation with the Gulf at Ukrainian Internet Governance Forum

In an address at the 14th Ukrainian Internet Governance Forum (IGF-UA-2023), Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast, emphasized the importance of Ukraine fostering collaboration with Gulf countries.

Mr. Motkin highlighted that governmental engagement is the initial step, emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts from the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and diplomatic channels.

Anatoly Motkin underscored that, even in times of conflict, a nation can find opportunities amid tragedy. In particular, he emphasized the potential for technological advancements in DefenseTech to not only address wartime challenges but also to become commercially viable. The development of defense technology presents a unique economic opportunity.

The IGF-UA Forum featured insightful discussions on the management of the Internet during times of war and military renewal. The program included thematic sections on cybersecurity and war, innovative development for the war has been renewed in Ukraine, dialogue of Ukraine with international organizations amid war, and others.

Organized by the Internet Association of Ukraine, the Commission for Science and IT, and the IGO “European Media Platform,” the forum served as a platform for experts, industry leaders, and policymakers to exchange ideas and insights.
