Mr. Dobkin is the principal founder, CEO and President of EPAM Systems. Under his direction, EPAM has grown to become one of the leading software and product engineering services companies in the world.
Mr. Dobkin began his career in Minsk, Belarus, where after working for several years as a programmer for a large government run enterprise he started his first private software company. After immigrating to the United States in 1991, he held technical and leadership positions in Prudential Insurance, Colgate-Palmolive and SAP Labs before focusing his full-time attention on developing EPAM into the company it is today.
For the past 20 years, Mr. Dobkin has been increasingly recognized as an instrumental force in opening the vast software talent pool of the former Soviet Union region and Central and Eastern Europe to the international business community. In 2015, Mr. Dobkin was inducted into the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year Academy and to the elite Entrepreneur of the Year Hall of Fame.
Mr. Dobkin is also a recipient of numerous awards including being named as a C-Suite Standout by Forbes in 2014, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Years in 2014 for Belarus as well as EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year for 2008 in Information Technology Consulting category in New Jersey. In 2006, Consulting Magazine named him to “Top 25 Most Influential Consultants”.
Mr. Dobkin holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Belarusian National Technical University.
