World Bank, the ADB and USAID allocate $12 million for the south of Kyrgyzstan

International organizations will allocate $12 million of gratuitous grant for Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken oblasts. This became known during the discussion of CASA-1000 energy project in Jalal-Abad.

As part of the implementation of the CASA-1000 energy project, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and USAID will allocate $ 12 million of gratuitous grant for the population of three oblasts of Kyrgyzstan.

These funds will be used in three directions. The first is to provide the local population of the three oblasts with electricity and lighting. The second for the construction of social facilities: kindergartens, schools, medical stations. The third is support for small and medium-sized businesses.

The CASA-1000 energy project is funded by the World Bank and USAID.
