US-based Cisco intends to participate in digital transformation of Kyrgyzstan

Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov met chairman of Cisco, a large high-tech company Chuck Robbins and vice president of the company for global innovations Guy Dietrich within the framework of his participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland).

During the meeting, the sides discussed the projects on digital transformation implemented in Kyrgyzstan. In particular, the construction of a regional data center within the framework of the Digital CASA project, as well as other components of the Smart City project.

The management of the company expressed interest in the participation of projects on digital transformation in Kyrgyzstan.

The sides reached agreement that in the near future the company will send a team of highly qualified specialists who will conduct a study to develop a “road map” for participation in digital transformation and network readiness of the country. Then the specialists will draw up a Plan and budget for the ongoing activities in this direction.

Cisco confirmed readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation and partnership with the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the same time, during the conversation it was noted that Cisco will assist in attracting international telecommunications companies in the implementation of projects on digital transformation, and will consider the possibility of their financing from Cisco Capital.
