EUR 51.9 million will be available for Latvia until 2021 under the Norway Grants, according to draft regulations supported by the Cabinet of Ministers on the Latvia-Norway memorandum of understanding on implementation of Norway Grants in 2014-2021, informs LETA.
The main goal of Norway Grants for 2014-2021 is to reduce social and economic disparities in the European Economic Area and strengthen bilateral relations between Norway and the recipient countries.
EUR 51.9 million will be available for Latvia until 2021 for such measures as business development, innovations, small and medium enterprises, research and education, reduction of climate changes, adaptation to climate changes and environment, correction services and social dialogue.
