Uzbekistan plans to attract $51.18 million loan from the EBRD for three projects

Uzbekistan plans to attract funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for US$51.18 million in three projects. According to the EBRD website, Uzbekistan intends to attract US$30 million to support medium and small businesses and trade development. The funds will be provided to Ipoteka-Bank.

Within the framework of the project, US$25 million will be used to support medium and small businesses and US$5 million to develop trade. Uzbek Leasing International A.O. will attract funds of the EBRD for US$10 million. The funds will be provided in three tranches and will be used to purchase cars, trucks, trailers and equipment for the needs of medium and small businesses.

Within the framework of the third project, Mutabar Medical Standart intends to raise funds for US$11.18 million for the pharmaceutical production project. The plant’s capacity will be 280 million ampoules of injection solutions.
