On June 13, 2024, StrategEast in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and USAID’s Future Growth Initiative hosted its quarterly donors coordination meeting. The event brought together key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and development in the ICT industry and digital economy of Kyrgyzstan.
The meeting aimed to synchronize activities among donors, international financial institutions, and development actors to foster a cohesive approach to the country’s digital transformation. Deputy Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, Klim Omelchenko, opened the meeting with an insightful presentation on the government’s initiatives for digital transformation. He outlined tactical plans aimed at accelerating digital development and improving ICT infrastructure in the country.
Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast, delivered welcome remarks, emphasizing the importance of strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts in advancing Kyrgyzstan’s digital economy. Aiperi Nogoibaeva, Executive Director of the Kyrgyz Software and Services Developers’ Association (KSSDA), discussed KSSDA’s focus areas, including initiatives to develop the startup ecosystem and legislative efforts to support the ICT sector.
Participants engaged in a dynamic Q&A session, addressing various aspects of the ICT sector’s growth and exploring potential collaborative strategies. The meeting concluded with closing remarks, underscoring the shared commitment to driving digital innovation and economic growth in Kyrgyzstan.
