StrategEast, in partnership with Oman International Trade and Exhibitions, organized the participation of Eurasian countries Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan at COMEX, a premier technology show held in Oman from May 27-30.
This prestigious event, a cornerstone of technological advancement in Oman for over three decades, offers a unique platform for countries to showcase their technological achievements and explore new business prospects. The primary objective of this initiative was to provide Eurasian countries with an opportunity to display their technological industries and advancements in Oman and the Gulf region, explore the market and opportunities there, and build a network of contacts in the region.
These countries were provided with complimentary booths dedicated to each country to showcase their technological advancements at the exhibition. Through these booths, the countries could demonstrate their countries’ tech ecosystems and attract interest from the Gulf region, particularly Omani, and the international community, fostering new business opportunities and collaborations. The countries’ booths featured a dedicated zone in the international area with unique designs, offering the opportunity to invite attendees and present their tech ecosystems. This participation enabled them to hold B2B meetings, network with potential customers and industry leaders, and establish new connections to foster future partnerships in Oman and the Gulf region. They met with the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology of Oman to explore collaboration opportunities. Additionally, country representatives held individual B2B meetings with key figures in the Omani tech and business sectors, such as the Omani Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Oman IT Society.
The Central Asian booths were organized with the support of USAID’s Future Growth Initiative.
