Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast, moderated a oanel on innovations and infrastructure at the GCC – Central Asia Investment Forum 2024 on May 29.
This event, organized by the Ministry of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, served as a platform for fostering collaboration and exploring investment opportunities between the Gulf and Central Asia.
Mr. Motkin chaired a sectoral session under the theme “Building Tomorrow: Innovations in Infrastructure and Development.” The session featured distinguished speakers who shared insights and expertise on advancing infrastructure projects and fostering sustainable development across the region.
Among the notable speakers were Mohammad Alsaati, Special Advisor to The President of Islamic Development Bank (KSA); Nacer Bouhitem, Senior Investment Director in Investcorp’s Infrastructure platform (Bahrain); Ammar Al Kharusi, CEO of Invest Oman (Oman); Aslan Sultan, CEO of Tumar Venture Fund (Kazakhstan); Marat Tulebayev, CEO of Kazakhstan Investment Development Fund (KIDF) Management Company (Kazakhstan); Ahliddin Nuridinzoda, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade (Tajikistan); Adilet Maldybaev, Director of Economics, Finance and Social Development OJSC “Manas International Airport” (Kyrgyzstan); and Mamanbiy Omarov, First Deputy Minister of Transport (Uzbekistan).
The GCC – Central Asia Investment Forum serves as a cornerstone for strengthening strategic partnerships and facilitating dialogue between policymakers, officials, CEOs, and the private sector. Through promotional presentations, dialogues, and workshops, the forum aims to highlight investment opportunities across various sectors including IT, renewable energy, petrochemicals, agriculture, food security, industry, healthcare, tourism, logistics services, infrastructure, technology, and digitization.
