From April 21 to May 1, Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation in collaboration with StrategEast held a series of high-level meetings to foster collaboration at both governmental and business levels within the Gulf region.
Headed by Mr. Oleksandr Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the delegation held a series of high-level discussions with key government officials and prominent business leaders in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Notable participants included the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Qatar, Qatar Financial Center, InvestQatar, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Monsha’at, and representatives from major business conglomerates.
The mission’s primary objective was to forge partnerships and collaborative ventures, particularly within the technology sector, between Ukraine and the Gulf states — Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. These strategic dialogues underscored a mutual commitment to fostering deep, substantive collaborations, emphasizing digital innovation and economic growth.
This initiative lays the groundwork for future projects, such as the establishment of digital bridges between Ukraine and the Gulf States, particularly Qatar and Saudi Arabia. These digital bridges will allow the Ukrainian tech industry to get access to Qatari and Saudi markets and provide the Gulf states with high-level technological solutions developed in Ukraine.
