StrategEast has released the flagship bi-annual Westernization Report 2023, in which the experts from Eurasian and Baltic countries describe the most important political and economic events that occurred in post-Soviet region last year.
Looking at the events, which will most likely affect the degree of Westernization in their respective countries, the experts singled out the main circumstance affecting almost all countries, which gained or restored their independance after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Last year, 2022, was overshadowed by a single event, which dominated nearly all of our experts’ analytical materials – the war unleashed by the Russian Federaton against Ukraine, which reverberated throughout the whole region.The report identifies consequences of recent global events and their impact on Westernization in post-Soviet space.
