StrategEast presented the best way for Saudi Arabia to become the global hub of digital excellence

Speaking at the panel “Bridging International Ecosystems and fostering collaboration between SMEs” at the prime tech and startup event in Saudi Arabia – Biban 2023 in Riyadh, Anatoly Motkin, President of StrategEast emphasized the importance of cross-region collaboration for to scale up the Saudi Arabian SME sector.

“The connecting the Saudi Arabian regions with Caucasus and the Central Asia based on the knowledge driven economy is the best way to preserve and develop the local human capital in the country.

Based on the StrategEast global experience – attracting the leading global engineering IT companies to Saudi Arabia is absolutely necessary for the knowledge transfer and will lay a foundation for establishing a global hub of digital excellence in the country.”, said Motkin.

The topics of the discussion included international cooperation as an opportunity for SMEs and innovative companies to grow outside of their home markets, cooperation between governments for the beneft of businesses and ecosystems, and access to partnerships in home and host markets. The topic of ecosystem collaboration has also been highlighted in order to foster inclusive growth.

The discussion was moderated by Philip Lemmerz, Partner at PwC Middle East and the speakers on the panel also included: Fahad Jamal Alnaeem, Deputy Minister for Investment Development of Saudi Arabia; Saud Alsabhan, Vice Governor of Entrepreneurship at Monsha’at – Saudi Arabian SME General Authority; Roland Daher, CEO at AstroLabs.

Biban, Saudi Arabia’s largest start-up, SME, and entrepreneurship conference, is hosted at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center between March 9 and March 13, 2023.

The conference is Organized by Monsha’at, the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, this year’s event welcomes its largest audience ever, with over 350 speakers and 105,000 attendees from the Kingdom and abroad.
