EBRD supports StrategEast in expanding the IT HUB program to 5 regions in Georgia

On December 9,  StrategEast, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) signed the collaboration agreement on implementing the IT HUB program in Georgia.
The document was signed by Lika Merabishvili, Regional Director, StrategEast; Catarina Bjorlin Hansen, EBRD Regional Director for the Caucasus; Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman, GITA. The event was also attended by Irakli Nadareishvili, the Deputy Minister of Economics and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
The IT HUB program will cover 5 regions of Georgia and will include 40 students in each region. The students will gain theoretical and practical knowledge that will provide them with skills of executing various complex IT projects. The successful graduates will be employed by different global and local tech companies with the support of StrategEast.
The project is being implemented with the financial support of  EBRD in partnership with GITA.
