The 4th StrategEast State and IT Eurasian Forum took place on October 24-25, 2022 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan with the Lead topic: Diversity through Inclusivity.
Policy Recommendations based on Forum 2022:
- Eurasian countries that have not yet declared the developing their IT industry as a state goal are recommended to put IT on the list of national priorities.
- To set up an educational system specialized in IT.
- Creating special legislation for the IT sector is an essential factor for global IT companies’ entry into Eurasian markets.
- Countries need to create national and regional-level venture funds in order to attract investments from global IT companies.
- In order to develop Fintech, governments and local financial regulators are encouraged to create a sandbox for Fintech experiments.
- We encourage international financial organizations and development institutions to support the IT industry more effectively by creating country and regional-level “donor coalitions”.
