During a series of meetings with the government officials of Azerbaijan, President of StrategEast Anatoly Motkin discussed the prospects for cooperation between StrategEast and the Government of Azerbaijan in the creation and development of the local IT industry.
In particular, StrategEast plans to cooperate with the Azerbaijani government in creating a special tax regime for international IT companies who intend to start operations in Azerbaijan. StrategEast’s tasks will also include attracting international IT companies to the country and creating new jobs, launching new educational programs for IT specialists, and creating an ecosystem for the development of local startups.
During his visit to Baku, president of StrategEast held meetings with Tural Karimli, chairman of the Innovation Agency of Azerbaijan; Tamerlan Taghiyev, Acting Head of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and other government officials responsible for the development of the IT industry in the country.
