The cooperation between the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries during COVID-19 pandemic will be discussed on the new StrategEast Live panel.

– There is a wave of misinformation in the media claiming that the epidemic dealt a crushing blow to the unity of the European Union, that each of the EU countries is fighting the virus alone. But we know that EU countries help not only each other, but also manage to take care of their Eastern partners. What new assistance programs the EU launched for the members of the Eastern Partnership?
– What European investments in the Eastern Partnership have shown their relevance during the coronavirus epidemic? Does this mean that at the end of the epidemic these exact areas of cooperation will be strengthened?
– Most countries have closed their borders during the epidemic. Is there a threat to the existence of the Schengen zone? And will there be visa-free status after the epidemic for those countries of the Eastern Partnership that have it now?
– What is the contribution of the Eastern partners themselves to the global fight against coronavirus?
– Does coronavirus bring closer or delay the prospect or Eastern partners to join the EU?
Leaders of the global IT industry, government officials and the NGO representatives will take part in the event.
