Prime Minister Ion Chicu today had a discussion with representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Moldova, Antonio Castillo and Adam Bruun, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Ion Chicu informed the EIB representatives about the investment priorities adopted by the government for 2020, stressing the investments in infrastructure and the goal to stimulate investments in the country’s industrialization. “The biggest needs of Moldova deal with the development of infrastructure: roads, water supply networks, energy infrastructure The government is determined to turn Moldova into a friendly opportunity for investors,” the PM said.
The EIB representatives confirmed the Bank’s intention to finance projects in such sectors as energy security, roads’ infrastructure, environmental protection and projects on developing business.
The sides agreed to continue discussions with the competent ministries, in order to identify the subjects and parameters of the projects able to prompt the enhancement of the social well-being and modernization of the national economy.
