Uzbek Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations and Bureau of the International Labor Organization for Eastern Europe and Central Asia are working on a “road map” of interaction and cooperation of ILO with Uzbekistan.
Olga Kulayeva, Director of the International Labor Organization Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, is on a working visit in Uzbekistan.
The roadmap of the project contains 43 points, including the development of a new version of the Labor Code, the development of a new version of the Law on Employment, the accession of Uzbekistan to the international WorldSkills association, implementation of a number of ILO conventions in Uzbekistan, the development of a National Employment Strategy and others.
ILO delegation visited the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations to meet with Minister Sherzod Kudbiyev to consult on the roadmap of the project.
ILO is the only tripartite UN agency that brings together governments, employers, and workers of 187 member states since 1919, to set labor standards, develop policies and devise programs promoting decent work for both men and women.
