U.S. ready to consider trade preferences for Uzbekistan

The United States is ready to consider possible trade preferences as part of the generalized system of preferences in view of the efforts made by the country aimed at eradication of forcible labor, the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said.

The delegation of Uzbekistan led by Vice Prime Minister Tanzila Narbaeva held talks with Erland Herfindahl, Deputy Assistant of U.S. Trade Representative for the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).

Erland Herfindahl said the information provided by the delegation of Uzbekistan may be useful for preparation of the recommendations on GSP for the Administration.
