EU to issue bonds worth €15 million to assist Georgia

European Union plans to issue bonds to assist Georgia and Ukraine, the Reuters reports referring to one of the EU officials.

The bonds maturity will be April 2033. As a result of the mentioned issuance, Georgia will receive 15 million EUR assistance and Ukraine – 500 million EUR assistance.

The mentioned issuance is related to the decision that European Commission took last week for providing 500 million EUR financial assistance to Ukraine”, the EU official said. 

Bonds placement is planned for early December. Georgia and Ukraine will have to cover the liabilities by April 2033.
Issuance is to end on December 11. 
Organizers of the bond issuance are: Commerzbank, Goldman Sachs, LBBW და TD Securities.
