Kazakhstan to launch two satellites via Falcon 9 rocket

Kazakhstan plans to launch its 2 satellites from the Space Launch Complex at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California with Falcon 9 rocket on November 19, Marat Nurguzhin, Deputy Minister of Defense and Airspace Industry of Kazakhstan, told the Digital Bridge Forum in Astana.

“We will test the developments of our engineers in the space. They will obtain flight history, will allow commercialization and making own satellites to replace communications satellites,” the Deputy Minister said.

More than 150 engineers of Kazakhstan have received training at respective factories in EU, UK and Russia. They have created the third space system of technological and scientific importance.

“Our institutes develop many rather serious devices that allow to use space technologies on the Earth, including space communication, satellite navigation. We will finish construction of the assembly and testing complex for space vehicles weighing under 6 tons this year,” he said.
