Kazakhstan to set up direct investment fund

The direct investment fund for non-resource sector will be set up in Kazakhstan, Minister of Investments and Development Jenis Kasymbek told a press conference.

The fund will involve foreign co-investors.

“This is international practice when foreign investors will come to Kazakhstan and will need a reliable partner in person of a concrete fund or a company. This fund will be created to co-finance big projects,” Jenis Kasymbek stated.

The fund will guarantee stability and confidence in implementation of projects, he said.
