On 11 October, EU4Energy launched a technical assistance project to help Ukraine transpose Regulation (EU) 347/2013, which aims to facilitate investment in energy infrastructure and achieve the Energy Community’s energy and environment policy objectives.
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC), Ukrenergo and the Energy Community Secretariat participated in the launch event.
A detailed analysis of the current legal and regulatory framework of Ukraine will be developed by January 2019. This will focus on the full transposition of the Regulation into its national legislation system, as well as recommendations for the preparation of the necessary implementing acts. The project is part of the EU assistance to Ukraine within the EU4Energy Initiative.
