Chairperson of Uzbekneftegaz Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov held negotiations with the Chairman and CEO of Beicip-Franlab Jean Burrus.
During the meeting, issues on further areas of cooperation were discussed. Within the framework of joint cooperation, the issue of scientific support for geological exploration and study of oil and gas potential of investment blocks with the possible involvement of the French side as an independent auditor and expert in a number of areas is being considered.
Among them are evaluation of proposals of leading oil and gas companies for exploration and increase in hydrocarbon production in the Republic of Uzbekistan; preparation of proposals for field development projects in Uzbekistan.
Also important areas of joint activity are: assessment of the prospects for the work of JSC Uzbekneftegaz in conducting exploration and production of hydrocarbons abroad; preparation of reports on reserves of deposits of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as a package of information on investment blocks of the republic for transmission to potential foreign investors for study, etc.
A possible collaboration with Beicip Franlab in the area of creating a National Oil and Gas Database (NDB), where the company intends to participate as an independent contractor to provide database development and training services, as well as a consultant for the commercialization of this project, is currently being considered.
NDB is a data bank that seeks to preserve and promote data on the country’s natural resources, in particular, data related to oil exploration and production.
NDBs are created to store exploration and production data and promote investment in the country by using data to reduce the risks associated with exploration, production and transportation.
