Leading German meat processing company Toennies Holding ApS & Co interested in joint projects in Kazakhstan

Toennies Holding ApS & Co. KG, Germany’s leading meat processing company, expressed interest in joint agro-industrial projects for production of beef, pork and poultry in Kazakhstan, Kazakh Invest National Company for Investment Support and Promotion reported on its website.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Kazakh Invest Marat Birimzhan met with Clemens Toennies, the founder of Toennies, in Rheda-Wiedenbruck city, Germany earlier this month.

Kazakh Invest works on attraction of world transnational companies to the processing sector of Kazakhstan for creation of export goods and Kazakhstan’s access to the world market.

Birimzhan told in details about the development of the agro-industrial sector in Kazakhstan and presented concrete investment offers and projects.

The founder of Toennies expressed interest in creation of joint agro-industrial projects for production of beef, pork and poultry in the territory of Kazakhstan.

Following the meeting, agreement on Clemens Toennies’ visit to Kazakhstan was reached for his acquaintance with the largest Kazakh agro-industrial companies and further elaboration of investment projects.

Toennies Holding ApS & Co. KG is a family company, the largest slaughter of pork and cattle in Germany. Toennies is actively engaged in meat processing. The company produces and supplies fresh and frozen goods of animal and plant raw materials for supermarkets, retail, wholesale and industrial customers.

Annual turnover of Toennies is about $7 billion. The company has 8 German and Danish manufactures, where more than 15 thousand employees work.
