US-based OPIC to invest about $100 million in Georgia’s Anaklia Seaport Construction

The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) executive vice-president David Bohigian and OPIC representatives have met with the management of Georgia-America consortium ADC and discussed funding opportunities for Anaklia Deepwater seaport.

OPIC has been working on the issue of funding Anaklia deepwater seaport for several months. The financial institution plans to invest about 100 million USD in the seaport construction works.

At the same time, 5 various international financial institutions have engaged in funding Anaklia deepwater seaport. Their representatives examined the territory of Anaklia deepwater seaport in July 2018 and held working meetings with Anaklia Development Consortium.
