National Bank of Uzbekistan and Germany’s Deutsche Bank AG sign a €500 million agreement on financing of investment projects

The National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity (NBU) and Deutsche Bank AG of Germany signed an agreement on the financing of investment projects worth 500 million euros.

The Uzbek bank said in a statement that the document was signed in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The agreement envisages allocation of a credit line for financing investment projects in various sectors of the economy, such as energy, transport, agriculture, medicine, petrochemicals, infrastructure, metallurgy, aviation and others.

The funds can be used for long-term financing for the import of equipment and technologies from different countries, including the U.S., China, Korea, Japan, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, the NBU underlined.
