As part of the ongoing SAP Forum in Tashkent, Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) and SAP signed an agreement on the launch of SAP Innovation Center SAP Next-Gen Lab WIUT. At WIUT, which is already part of the University Alliance of SAP since 2015, joint activities will be expanded and the SAP Next-Gen Lab will be created with a focus on intelligent data processing, predictive analytics and digital marketing for the implementation of joint projects for the benefit of local and international SAP customers.
WIUT is one of the leading universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan in such areas as research, innovation and educational activities in business management, economics and finance, law and business information systems. With the help of the SAP Next-Gen Lab, the University will develop innovative solutions that will be initiated by specific customers – companies operating in Uzbekistan. Industry decisions will be made on the interests of industry, state and commercial enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
SAP will actively advise the project teams of the university in the process of searching for industrial partners and customers for SAP Next-Gen Lab projects, in developing solutions, technologies and SAP methodologies and will also assist in the initial technical equipment of the laboratory. With the help of SAP, distance and face-to-face training courses and technical briefings will be organized. The Laboratory will host master classes and hackathons, sessions and other events with the participation of SAP experts and other organizations.
WIUT will expand training courses and programs to study SAP solutions (SAP Cloud Platform, S / 4HANA, a stack of SAP Leonardo innovative solutions). Projects implemented within the framework of SAP Next-Gen Lab activities will be included in the training load, which will allow students involved in these jobs to obtain practical skills confirmation during the main educational process.
WIUT is a member of the University Alliance SAP since 2015, and this year has moved to a full membership model. The university was the first in the Republic of Uzbekistan, using SAP solutions in the educational process on hosting provided by St. Petersburg State University and the University of Otto-von-Guericke (Magdeburg, Germany).
