Georgia is improving its standing in the rating of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) 2017-2018 showing a rise in business tourism potential in a recent report.
Georgia’s index has been improved by six points in the ranking, announced the Georgian National Tourism Administration today.
In 2014-2017 Georgia was promoted by 16 points and took the first place in the Caucasus and Central Asia region. In particular, in the ranking Georgia leads Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Qatar and Monaco.
The Georgian National Tourism Administration has created Convention and Exhibition Bureau, which aims to arrange different meetings, promotional tours, conferences, exhibitions; to attract international events to Georgia and support them; to spread information and promote the business tourism potential of Georgia abroad.
As the Georgian National Tourism Administration reports, in recent years it has arranged several important events, including the event of UN World Tourism Organisation, Wine Tourism Global Conference and Eurasia Mountain Resorts Development Conference.
As of today the Convention and Exhibition Bureau includes 44 members which unite leading hotels, event and touristic companies of Georgia.
