Ukrainian exports to EU up 21% in 2017

“The growth rate of exports to the EU is even higher than that of the total exports. Plus 21% compared to 2016,” the head of government tweeted.

He recalled that the country’s total exports in 2017 increased by 16% against 2016, while Ukraine exported goods and services worth $52.3 billion to 223 countries.

According to the official, exports to the EU were estimated at $20 billion, which accounted for 40.5% of the total export structure.

As reported earlier, the deficit of Ukraine’s foreign trade in 2017 was estimated at US$2.625 billion against the surplus at $541.6 million in 2016. Imports of goods and services to Ukraine rose by 23.3%, to $54.955 billion, while exports of goods and services from Ukraine grew by 16%, to $52.330 billion.
