EU allocates €1.4 million for entrepreneurship project in three Georgian municipalities

The European Union (EU) has launched its “Mayors for Economic Growth” project in Bolnisi, Gori and Tbilisi municipalities and has allocated €1.4 million for the implementation of the project.

The project envisages:

  • Establishing a platform for the efficient flow of business activities in Bolnisi Municipality.
  • Strengthening local economic opportunities for sustainable growth in Gori municipality.
  • Creating a business accelerator for sustainable small and medium-sized businesses in Tbilisi.

We hope that the grant will support local entrepreneurship and improve economic conditions for locals,” Carlo Natale, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia stated.

Deputy Tbilisi Mayor Ilia Eloshvili thanked the EU for the support and said that the grant for Tbilisi, which amounted to €506,634, will be spent on the development of entrepreneurship in the capital.
